Charter Review Committee 
PURPOSE Every 10 years, reviews the existing Lane County Charter and makes recommendations to the Lane County Board of Commissioners regarding suggested changes to the Charter.
MEETS 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., first and third Thursdays of each month.
MEMBERSHIP Seven (7): Five members are appointed by individual Commissioners and two at-large members are appointed by the other five members. Subsequent Charter Review Committees will be appointed in the same manner every 10 years.
TERM Begins on the date of appointment and ends no later than two (2) years from the date of appointment, or until assigned tasks are completed.

Note: You may submit an application at any time. Applications are kept for 12 months from the date the application is received and will be considered should a vacancy occur within that time frame. The Charter Review Committee is a Nonmandated Committee. Nonmandated Committees are an advisory body to the Board of Commissioners appointed and charged by the Board with advising on certain areas of County government. The existence of the committee is controlled by the Board, and the members serve at the pleasure of the Board. (Lane Manual 3.505).
