Commission for the Advancement of Human Rights 
PURPOSE Advises the Board of Commissioners and advocates for Lane County constituents on matters relating to human rights and diversity issues by reviewing major policies of our communities and makes recommendations to the Board and advocates for individuals.
MEETS Monthly.
MEMBERSHIP Five members are appointed by individual Commissioners and two at-large members.

The Commission for the Advancement of Human Rights is a Nonmandated Committee. Nonmandated Committees are an advisory body to the Board of Commissioners appointed and charged by the Board with advising on certain areas of County government. The existence of the committee is controlled by the Board, and the members serve at the pleasure of the Board. (Lane Manual 3.505).
