SAV-IT Committee 
PURPOSE Savings Are Valuable to Individual Taxpayers (SAV-IT) solicits and reviews cost-saving ideas submitted by Lane County residents for increasing productivity and employee motivation, and use of tools, equipment, or supplies; forwards proposals to the Board of Commissioners for recognition.

MEMBERSHIP Seven (7): 5 members are appointed by individual Commissioners and 2 members from the Lane County SAVE Committee are appointed by the Board as a whole.

Note: You may submit an application at any time. Applications are kept for 12 months from the date the application is received and will be considered should a vacancy occur within that time frame. Application forms are also available in the Board of Commissioners office, Public Service Building, 125 E. 8th Avenue, Eugene.

The SAV-IT Committee is a Nonmandated Committee. Nonmandated Committees are an advisory body to the Board of Commissioners appointed and charged by the Board with advising on certain areas of County government. The existence of the committee is controlled by the Board, and the members serve at the pleasure of the Board. (Lane Manual 3.505)
