Notice of Intent to Extend PIO Contract
Lane County intends to extend the contract with Funk/Levis for Public Information Officer services while a recruitment process for a permanent PIO is conducted. It is anticipated that the permanent position will be posted by October 1, 2014. The contract with Funk/Levis will be extended through December 31, 2014, with the ability to be extended for up to six additional months. If the recruitment process for a permanent Public Information Officer is not successful, a Request for Professional Services process will be conducted for services beginning July 1, 2015.
If you are a person or entity whose interests are adversely affected by this contract award, you may deliver a written protest, electronically, to Deborah Heeszel, Sr. Program Services Coordinator, Lane County, Department of Health & Human Services at Deb.Heeszel@co.lane.or.us. Protests must be received by 12:00 noon on June 9, 2014. The written protest must include a detailed statement of the protest, a description of the resulting harm to the qualified protestor and the relief requested by the protestor. Once the protest period has closed, any received protests will be delivered to the County Administrator for review.
