Working Together for Human Needs
Today, families and individuals throughout our community turn to a partnership of local public and private non-profit human service agencies funded by Lane County and the cities of Eugene and Springfield under the stewardship of the Lane County’s Human Services Commission.
This vital alliance between local government and non-profits in our community is dedicated to helping our region’s neediest residents achieve stability, improved health, greater independence and a higher quality of life, while strengthening our communities.
To some, the work of the Human Services Commission and its non-profit partners is one of the best kept secrets of County and City government. But the impact is clear for the 64,926 individuals in 42,088 households who last year received help and improved their lives. (CY2009 data)
