IS Department Strategic Plan

Information Services consists of the following divisions:

Administration:  This group provides management and administrative support for the other technical programs. Administration directs the work of the other programs, as well as strategic planning, information technology purchases, regional relationships and County-wide standards. Administration also provides user and desktop support services, including the maintenance and management of the County's Help Desk.

Applications: This division creates, implements and supports all of Lane County's computer programs.  Applications is made up of application programmers and database administrators.  It is currently responsible for approximately 160 computer application systems and 100 databases.

Maps & GIS:  The GIS division supports various county divisions including:  Engineering, Road Maintenance, Land Management, Waste Management, Parks, Assessment & Taxation, County Administration, Sheriff's Office, Health & Human Services.  More information

Project Management Office (PMO):
The PMO is responsible for all IT projects from inception to completion, whether these projects are applications development, infrastructure, information systems, desktop or database related. More information

Network and Server Services:  This division maintains and administers the computer networks and systems including analysis, development and implementation of engineering-related projects. More information
