Can an inmate make calls from the jail? Can I set up an account for calls? Can I block inmate calls?
An inmate can make collect calls from the jail using a vendor serviced phone system. The person receiving the call must be able to receive collect calls. Check with your own phone vendor to find out if you can receive collect calls. A prepaid account can be set up for an inmate that allows direct calls to your phone. Calls from inmates may also be blocked by the person receiving the calls. To set up a prepaid account or to block inmate phone calls to your number, call the vendor direct or check their website for information and services. The vendor is GTL/PCS; phone number: 1-877-650-4249.
