Fiscal staff provides financial services to the 24-hour / 7 day a week Sheriff's Office.  The Fiscal section is comprised of a manager, two management analysts, one accounting analyst, two senior accounting clerks and a senior stores clerk.

The fiscal section is responsible for overseeing all budgetary items for the Sheriff's Office.  The Fiscal Manager oversees all functions of the section and monitors the fiscal status of all divisions of the Sheriff's Office.  The management analysts are responsible for overseeing all grants and contracts, including contracts for services provided to the cities of Eugene, Springfield, Creswell, Veneta and Oakridge.  Analysts ensure compliance with purchasing and contracting laws and coordinate report and reimbursement for grants and contracts.

The accounting analyst and senior accounting clerks process accounts receivables and payables; including auditing and verifying charges, resolving discrepancies, preparing bank deposits, forfeitures, grant reporting, and reconciling bank statements.  They also process payroll for Sheriff's Office employees including all paperwork for promotions, assignment changes, and training reimbursements.  Accounting staff also work closely with Public Works Fleet to track Sheriff's Office vehicles, including maintenance and other related expenses.  The senior accounting clerk at the Corrections facility processes all accounting entries for inmate trust accounts, including collecting fees and processing commissary charges.

In addition to ordering, distributing and tracking all uniform related items for Sheriff's Office staff, the senior stores clerk is also responsible for purchasing, tracking, and inventorying all office supplies for the main office.  The stores clerk ensures competitive pricing by contacting vendors for prices and quotes, and is responsible for all internal telephone changes, and issuing and monitoring the costs of Sheriff's Office issued cell phones and devices.
