Program Description
The Environmental Health Program has the responsibility of ensuring that these facilities are free from communicable diseases and health hazards. This is accomplished through a system of inspections, testing, and licensing of public facilities, including swimming pools.

This program also tests and licenses food handlers, responds to and investigates citizens' complaints, performs epidemiological investigations, and provides information/advice on control of disease-carrying vectors.
