The Oakridge Court (Upper Willamette District) processes some criminal complaints (excluding felonies), traffic infractions and violations, truck overload/overheight/ overlength, Public Utilities Commission (PUC) violations, fish and game violations, and all other violations which are generated in this district by the activities of the Oregon State Police, Lane County Sheriff's Department, Oakridge Police Department, Lane County Traffic Safety Team, and state and county weighmasters. In addition to being a state court, the Oakridge Justice Court, through intergovernmental agreement, also functions as Municipal Court for the City of Oakridge and processes complaints relative to violations, nuisance abatement and so forth. The court has a civil department in which small claims and Forcible Entry and Unlawful Detainer (Evictions) are heard on a regular basis. The Oakridge Justice Court functions in accordance with the provisions and requirements of Chapters 51, 55,153, and 156 of Oregon Revised Statutes.

Be polite and courteous to the Judge, to all court personnel, and those around you.

Cellular phones and pagers must be muted or turned off. Recording equipment is not allowed.

Dress appropriately - suitable attire is required: Shoes and shirts must be worn. No shorts, tank tops, or excessively soiled, damaged, or ill-fitting clothing is allowed in the courtroom. Remove hats upon entering the courtroom.

No smoking, food, drink or gum are allowed in the courtroom.

Children may be present in the courtroom; however, if they disturb the proceedings, please remove them from the courtroom. The Court does not provide child care services.

Weapons are prohibited in the courtroom, and the building.
