Major Road Construction Report for Lane County

Major road construction for the week of October 5, 2008. Schedule is subject to change due to weather delays.

 

EUGENE
Courthouse District Transportation Improvements Phase 2: Expect southbound lane closures on the Ferry Street viaduct between the Sixth Avenue off-ramp and Eighth Avenue and lane closures on southbound Mill Street, north of Eighth Avenue. The right turn movement onto Eighth Avenue from the Ferry Street viaduct will be closed
.Pavement striping on Franklin, Broadway, and Mill, depending on weather. Expect intermittent lane closures for east and westbound traffic.

Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard:  Watch for lane changes/closures.

Mclean Boulevard between Graham Drive and Mclean Court:  Watch for trucks, construction equipment and lane closures.

North Game Farm Road:  The road is expected to be closed to northbound traffic Monday and Tuesday. During the road closure, northbound traffic should follow signing to detour the area via Beltline to Coburg Road. Otherwise, all traffic is advised to watch for lane shifts, flaggers, construction equipment and workers and expect brief delays.

Roosevelt Boulevard from Chambers Street to Maple Street: Watch for construction equipment traffic, lane closures and lane shifts. Two-way traffic will be allowed at all times. Expect delays and use alternative routes if possible. Night work on Roosevelt Boulevard between Lassen Street and Maple Street is also scheduled.

Tyler Street between West 27th Avenue and West 27th Place: Watch for trucks, construction equipment and lane closures

SPRINGFIELD
Bob Straub Parkway:
Open to traffic from Jasper Road to Main Street in Springfield. There are a few construction activities to complete and traffic will be controlled by flaggers as necessary. All motorists are to exercise caution when traveling through the Parkway.

VENETA
Bolton Hill Road:
The Bolton Hill Road has been opened to traffic. There are a few construction activities to complete and traffic will be controlled by flaggers as necessary.

CROW AREA
Battle Creek Road at Milepost 0.60:
Repair embankment. One lane traffic with expected delays. Use alternative routes.
