Here you can learn about GIS projects happening in Lane County, what data and services are being offered and who to contact about specific GIS questions or issues.  GIS staff are located within the Transportation Planning Division of Public Works.  The GIS program primarily supports Public Works Engineering in the form of map creation, data development and maintenance, technical support and presentation, analysis, and application development.  In addition to Public Works Engineering, GIS routinely performs work for other County Divisions, including; Land Management, Waste Management, Parks, Assessment & Taxation, Administration, Sheriff's Office and Health and Human Services.  This site was created to help you locate GIS related information within Lane County.  Please feel free to contact us with additional questions.
