Short Mountain Landfill, Lane County's only municipal solid waste landfill, is located eight miles south of Eugene on Interstate 5.  The landfill is open to approved commercial waste haulers only; no public accommodations exist at Short Mountain.  Please Note:  As of August 1st 2009 new fees are in effect. Click here for rate sheet.

Attention!  Begining January 1, 2010, it is against state law to dispose of TVs, Computers and monitors in the garbage.  But don't worry, this material can be recycled for FREE at five Lane County's transfer sites click here for locations and details.  (More than 7 items require a dispoal appointment, call 682-3111.)  Click here for more information  on the State E-Cycles Law, and other free recycling options in Lane County.
