MARRIAGE LICENSES

Marriage licenses are issued from 9:00am to 11:45am and 1:00pm to 3:45pm

 Monday through Friday

Oregon state law requires that applicants be at least 17 years of age to obtain a marriage license. 17 year old applicants must have parental consent.  The consent may either be in the form of a notarized statement from a parent, or a parent must be present with the applicant to sign a consent form.

A witness is not required to apply; however, you should be prepared to present proof of age on request. A driver's license or birth certificate is adequate for this purpose. Neither a medical examination nor a blood test is required. If either party is divorced, the date of the final decree is required.

The cost of the marriage license is $60.00, which is non-refundable. The license is effective three days after the date of application. The license is valid for 60 days after the effective date and may be used anywhere in the State of Oregon.  To waive the  three day waiting period, applicants must appear in person to complete a waiver request form.  If a waiver is approved, the $4.00 waiver fee and $60.00 marriage license fee must be paid in cash.
