The Community Corrections Center (CCC) is located
adjacent to the Main Jail. The original facility was opened in 1986 with 32
beds. In 1999 it was expanded to 116 beds to meet the demand of an expanding
inmate population.
Inmates in the CCC program learn skills that will
assist them is securing employment or attend school. This training includes
resume’ preparation, interviewing techniques, completion of employment
applications, and completion of school admission applications.
Participants in the program are required to obtain
reasonable employment after placement, and to pay a fee to cover the cost of
staying in the Center. They are also responsible for meeting other financial
responsibilities such as paying court ordered restitution, alimony or child
support, and unpaid debts.
While in the program participants may be required
to continue alcohol and drug treatment started while in the Main Jail, are
required to work with an assigned staff person, and to maintain contact with
their assigned Parole and Probation Officer. Program participants may also
participate in appropriate educational programs that may benefit them.
It is the goal of the Community Corrections Program to assist participants in
transitioning back into the community with both gainful employment and the
skills to maintain a clean, sober and productive lifestyle.
