Community Corrections Program
The Community Corrections Program provides investigative services to State Courts and supervision of adult offenders sentenced to probation and released to the community on parole/post-prison supervision. Offenders are charged a monthly fee for the supervision service. Persons convicted of sex offenses and domestic violence offenses receive specialized supervision services. Community supervision of other offenders varies depending on whether they are assessed as high, medium or low risk. A case bank approach is utilized for offenders classified as limited risk. Selected high risk sex offenders and the SB 1145 offender population are targeted to receive intensive supervision. Program services delivered by parole/probation staff include day reporting, electronic monitoring, employment services and pre-treatment/life-skills training. Indigent offenders are assisted with bus passes and identification cards to help them find jobs.
