Geographic Information Systems ( GIS)
GIS staff are located within the Transportation Planning Division of Public Works. The GIS program primarily supports Public Works Engineering in the form of map creation, data development and maintenance, technical support and presentation, analysis, and application development. In addition to Public Works Engineering, GIS routinely performs work for other County Divisions, including; Land Management, Waste Management, Parks, Assessment & Taxation, Administration, Sheriff's Office and Health and Human Services. Lane County GIS develops and maintains a variety of datasets, most of which can be viewed by using our online mapping applications.

**A new GIS website is currently under development**
This new site will provide detailed information about Lane County GIS, link you to regional GIS efforts and provide a way to access County GIS data and maps. We hope to launch the site in early 2008. Stay tuned!
