If you and the other parent reach agreement on parenting time scheduling at Lane County Mediation & Restorative Services, you may also be eligible to mediate (for a fee) agreements regarding child support, division of personal property, and debts. Services are limited to those where one or both parents are receiving SNAP benefits, and there are no real property, spousal support, retirement, or business issues to be mediated.

Mediation is a confidential way for parents to discuss their differences and resolve disputes with the help of a neutral professional. The mediator does not decide who is right or wrong. Instead, the mediator helps parents reach their own agreements.

Confidentiality in mediation means that mediation proposals are protected by statute from being considered by a judge if mediation does not lead to an agreement.
