What is the Mater Permit Program?
The State of Oregon Chapter 479 “Electrical Safety Law” and Oregon Administrative Rules, Chapter 918 requires permits for electrical installations. This requirement can be met by obtaining a permit for the installation, or by meeting the requirements of the Master Permit Program.
For larger commercial facilities that employ appropriately licensed electricians or regularly contract with an electrical contractor to perform basic electrical installations, enrollment in Lane County's Electrical Master Permit Program is the most expeditious and cost-effective means of ensuring compliance with all applicable permitting requirements.
For more information, and to decide whether your facility would benefit from enrollment, please review the program's Informational Handout.
How to enroll
Complete the Enrollment Application Form and submit the same to the Lane County Electrical Program, along with the set-up fee. Upon enrollment in the program, the facility's representative will need to submit a completed Licensure Survey and maintain a Maintenance Log for review by a County Electrical Inspector at each annual on-site inspection.
