"Deal or No Dice" Presentation

Do kids you know watch the popular show? Lane County Problem Gambling Prevention has created an innovative educational version of the game to help introduce the topic of problem gambling and increase awareness. Instead of all luck, as the real game would demonstrate, students get to participate in a trivia version of the game – with of course some luck involved!

  • Click here to download your free customizable presentation (PowerPoint 2003 or later required; to save, right-click and "Save target as...").
  • Click here to download your free complete presentation recommended for middle school use (PowerPoint 2003 or later required; to save, right-click and "Save target as..."). .

By downloading and using the presentation, you agree to source Lane County Prevention Program. Please give us your feedback on the presentation & how to make it an even better tool!

Note: If you do not have PowerPoint, but would like to still use the presentation, you may download a free PowerPoint viewer here.

Be sure to also download the instructions for how to use the game & to create your own prize "briefcases!"

Problem Gambling Art Search

Since 2003, Oregon has been holding a statewide poster "art search" to commemorate  Problem Gambling Awareness Week. The poster search is open to all youth in grades 6-8 throughout the state. Prizes are given out regionally for participation, and statewide prizes are awarded for the top selected posters in Oregon. In 2008, a special "problem gambling awareness calendar" was created to display top artwork. 10,000 calendars were printed and disseminated throughout the state this year.
