Mental Health Advisory/Local Alcohol and Drug Planning Committee

The Mental Health Advisory/Local Alcohol and Drug Planning Committee is a Mandated Committee. Mandated Committees are an advisory body to the Board of Commissioners, appointed by the Board. The existence charge and sometimes the composition of the committee is controlled by the enabling legislation. (Lane Manual 3.505).

Purpose

Advises the Board of Commissioners and Health & Human Services Department on matters relating to mental health, developmental disabilities, and alcohol and other drug abuse in Lane County by reviewing major policies of the community mental health program and makes recommendations to the Director and assists in identifying needs and priorities.

Meeting Schedules

Monthly, 3rd Wednesday of each month, except August (no meeting).

Membership & Current Roster

15 members who are broadly representative of the community, with a balance of age, sex, ethnic, socioeconomic, geographic, professional, and consumer interests represented, including advocates for persons with mental or emotional disturbances, drug abuse problems, intellectual disabilities or other developmental disabilities, and alcoholism and alcohol abuse problems.
