Facility Permits 

Facility Permits are required for both facilities and activities (within or adjacent to (if potentially impacting) the County right-of-way to protect public safety and public infrastructure. Examples of right-of-way facilities are access/driveway connections, sidewalk construction or repair, ADA ramps, drainage infrastructure, and utility work. Examples of right-of-way activities are parades, bicycle or foot races, roadside logging, vegetation management, and traffic control. 


Access Connections:

Establishes the access point between private property and a County road within the public right-of-way. Facility Permits are required to: construct a new, permanent approach; construct a new, temporary approach; modify an existing approach; remove an existing approach; repair an existing approach; and to evaluate an existing approach. 


General Construction: Allows work like drainage upgrades, sewer connections, new sidewalk construction and frontage improvements.

Utility Work: Allows for installation and maintenance of things like pipes, conduits, poles and vaults.

Other Activities: Allows for consideration of activities within or adjacent to the County right-of-way not covered in the Access, General Construction, and Utility Work permits (above) or the Special Events permits category. Examples include vegetation management, roadside logging, and traffic control.
