Works with assigned County staff to maintain adequate library facilities and services.


Annually during budget preparation process and as needed for advisement of library staff.


Nine (9): 7 members appointed by the Lane County Bar Association, 2 at-large lay citizens appointed by the Board of Commissioners, and 1 member of the University of Oregon Law Library staff as an ex-officio member.


4 years for lay members. 
1 year for members appointed by the Lane County Bar Association.

Note: You may submit an application at any time. Applications are kept for 12 months from the date the application is received and will be considered should a vacancy occur within that time frame. Application forms are also available in the Board of Commissioners office, Public Service Building, 125 E. 8th Avenue, Eugene.

The Law Library Advisory committee is a Nonmandated Committee. Nonmandated Committees are an advisory body to the Board of Commissioners appointed and charged by the Board with advising on certain areas of County government. The existence of the committee is controlled by the Board, and the members serve at the pleasure of the Board. (Lane Manual 3.505).
