Locate Offender - Inmate Viewer

Information regarding offenders currently in custody is available online. If unable to locate a specific custody, please call 541-682-4263. Information is only available for currently incarcerated individuals.

Please Note: The Public Inmate Viewer has changed to display only information on subjects currently in custody in the Lane County Jail.  Information on past inmate lodgings is no longer available on our website due to concerns over misinterpretation of the information.  We will continue to fulfill public records requests for this information as allowed and required by law.   In our continued effort to provide public information in a responsible and ethical manner, we have found this to be the most respectful solution in ensuring that accurate information is available and distributed in a manner that decreases possible misuse, misinterpretation, or misunderstanding.

I'm unable to find an offender using the Inmate Viewer.

If you are looking for someone and their name does not appear, they are not currently in custody at our facility.  As the viewer no longer displays information about prior lodgings, you will need to contact the appropriate court to obtain historical custody information. If unable to locate a specific custody, please call 541-682-4263.

Inmate Communication

Telephone Services Available to Inmates:

Inmates may use telephones located throughout the jail facility to make outgoing calls. Each housing unit has specific hours the phone may be used. Staff cannot provide an inmate's specific schedule for telephone access.
Important Notice: All calls made using Quick Connect will be charged an $8.00 convenience fee by Telmate in addition to the cost of the call.  The fee will be charged to the credit card used to pay for the call. As a reminder, the least expensive way to make calls is by using a Telmate Prepaid account.

These basic rules apply to phone services:

  • Inmates have access to telephones during the daytime, except during meal service.
  • Inmates cannot receive telephone calls.
  • Jail staff will not relay messages to inmates.
  • Inmates may place collect calls (subject to fees by your phone service provider) using the inmate phone system, or by using Telmate prepaid phone account.
  • Inmates are not allowed to make non-typical collect calls, 3-way calls, or unwanted calls.
  • Calling cards will not work on the Telmate system.
  • Inmates using a prepaid phone account may receive voice mail messages.
  • Phone calls, except for those made to the inmate's attorney and verified clergy members, are recorded.
  • TTY services for the hearing impaired are available upon request.
  • How can I put money on an inmate’s commissary account?

You can put money on an inmate’s commissary account by visiting the Access Corrections site, calling Access Corrections at 1-866-345-1884, or by using the kiosk located in the lobby of the jail. For additional information, see Inmate Trust Account – Commissary Funds.

Can an inmate make calls from the jail? Can I set up an account for calls?

An inmate can make prepaid or collect calls from the jail using a vendor serviced phone system. Check with your phone service provider to verify you are able to receive collect calls.

To create and fund a Prepaid Telmate phone account:
    • Call 1-866-516-0115
    • Go to GettingOut.com
    • Use the Kiosk located in the Jail Lobby
You have two account options when funding an account:
    • Inmate Account: Funds in this account can be used by the inmate to call any number.
    • Friend & Family Account: Funds in this account can be used by the inmate to call your phone number(s) only.

Can you pass a message to an inmate? Can I write to an inmate?

It is against our policy to pass messages to inmates. All correspondence must go through the U.S. mail. For information on the guidelines concerning inmate mail, please see Inmate Mail Rules and Regulations.

    Blocking Calls from Inmates

If you do not want to receive inmate phone calls, choose the block calls prompt when the inmate calls you, or contact the vendor directly at 1-866-516-0115.

    Video Visitation Services

The Lane County Sheriff’s Office has installed Video Visitation to allow more opportunities for you to visit with your friends or family housed in the Lane County Jail. Video visits can be completed either from your home computer or using one of the video stations located in the Jail Lobby.

To schedule a video visitation use one of the following methods:
    • Use the Telmate Kiosks located in the ground floor lobby of the Jail.
    • From your own computer at GettingOut.com
Inmates receive one free video visit each week in addition to their normally scheduled social visitation. Free visits only apply to those scheduled and completed at the video stations in the Jail Lobby. The schedule charts below show the times available for Video Visitation. These times will vary for each inmate depending on custody status, classification and if other inmates have previously booked the time. Telmate and the Lane County Jail are not responsible for canceled or missed Video Visitation sessions.
