Row River Road Culvert Replacement Project

Project Description and Location

This project will replace four culverts under Row River Road. The culverts have collapsed and need to be replaced to avoid further risk to the road. If left unrepaired, the collapsed culverts could lead to a slide and long-term closures. Most of these culverts are buried deep in the ground, around 40 feet. This requires major construction and total road closures to fix.

This is a phased construction project that will involve four separate road closures that will occur one after the next. Phase One is planned 0.1 miles west of Cerro Gordo Road. Phase Two is planned for 0.9 miles west of Rat Creek Rd. Phase Three is planned for 0.5 miles west of Rat Creek Road. Phase Four is planned for 0.08 miles west of Dorena Mountain Road.

Closure Sites

The map on this page highlights each construction phase using a different color to note where each phase is located:

  • Phase One at milepost 5.96 is shown with the blue dot.
  • Phase Two at milepost 7.02 is shown with the red dot.
  • Phase Three at milepost 7.37 is shown with the green dot.
  • Phase Four at milepost 8.72 is shown with the purple dot.

Note: The project locations listed above line up with the projects on the map as they move from west to east. Milepost markers are also on the map to aid in locating projects.
