Beware of phone scams!

Some scammers pretend to be from Lane County Animal Services. They might call and say they’ve found your lost pet, but your pet is hurt and needs money for care right away. Don’t panic! Hang up and call us directly at 541-682-3645 or send us an email at [email protected] to report the scam.

Lane County Animal Services would NEVER withhold care from an animal pending payment OR ask you to make payments via Venmo, gift cards or other app-based payment methods.

Scammers try to make you panic when they call so you are more likely to pay them without verifying who they are.  Always check to make sure the call is real before you pay. Stay calm and protect yourself and your pets!
