Transportation Advisory Committee (TrAC)

The Transportation Advisory Committee (TrAC) acts as a forum for public input on Lane County’s transportation system and serves as a liaison group in representing transportation concerns of the community to the Board of County Commissioners. The TrAC also represents Board decisions to the community.

Some of the responsibilities of the TrAC include:
• Reviewing transportation improvement needs in the county.
• Presenting recommendations to the Board regarding modifications to the road and bridge projects in the Lane County Capital Improvement Program.
• Reviewing requests for transportation improvements beyond the scope of routine maintenance and making recommendations to the Board or to staff as appropriate.
• Reviewing road standards and policies and preparing recommendations to the Board as necessary.
• Reviewing needs and use of active transportation modes.

The committee consists of seven members: one member from each County Commissioner’s voting district; and two at-large appointments. The TrAC meets on the fourth Wednesday of every other month. Currently the TrAC is holding meetings remotely at 5:30 p.m.
