Lane County Parks Need Your Help

We are looking for volunteers who are dedicated to our parks system. Volunteers play a vital role in helping maintain our beautiful parks, trails and open spaces so wide spread throughout the county. We have many different opportunities depending on your interest, skill level and time commitment. We have year round opportunities for almost every interest, schedule and ability. Your level of commitment is up to you! As a volunteer, you can sign-up for our one day events, short-term experiences, or become a long-term volunteer.

How can I volunteer?

Stewardship work parties are held throughout the year. Join us to build and maintain trails, plant native species and remove invasive species, participate in plant surveys and more! Opportunities exist to volunteer in a variety of ways to fit your location, ability and interest level. Our program welcomes volunteers for the day, large groups and periodic volunteerism.

Groups that would like to volunteer with their civic club or organization or business are always welcome and we can accommodate special requirements for large groups.

What can I expect when I volunteer?

We will provide tools, safety instruction and snacks of course! Also there will be opportunity to meet neighbors and fellow residents of Lane County. Volunteer events will range in our parks along the river, natural areas and neighborhood parks and day use areas of our campgrounds.

Adopt-a-Park Program

This program is a collaborative effort between Lane County residents and county government to improve and maintain our parks.  For more information, check out the Adopt-a-Park website.
