BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS’

REGULAR MEETING

January 3, 2011

Commissioner Rob Handy presided with Commissioners Jay Bozievich,  Sid Leiken, Pete Sorenson and Faye Stewart present.  County Administrator Liane Richardson, County Counsel Stephen Vorhes and Recording Secretary Melissa Zimmer were also present.

1. COMMISSIONERS' BUSINESS  

a. Election of Chair

Bozievich nominated Faye Stewart for Chair.

Leiken SECONDED.

VOTE: 5-0.

b. Election of Vice-Chair

Bozievich nominated Sid Leiken for Vice-Chair

Stewart SECONDED.

VOTE: 5-0.

2. EMERGENCY BUSINESS

None.

3. OTHER BUSINESS

Stewart noted there are three applications for the Highway 126 East position for the ACT.  He asked the Board to bring this back for a discussion at Wednesday’s meeting.

Stewart reported a list of committee assignments have been distributed to the Board.  He indicated that discussion will take place at Wednesday’s meeting.

Sorenson stated that the County’s website needed to be updated to show the new commissioners.  He also discussed future agendas.

Stewart thanked everyone for the help in making the State of the County successful.

There being no further business, Commissioner Stewart adjourned the meeting at 1:40 p.m.
