2018-2021 Strategic Plan:

Click here for: Community Survey (Spanish Version) - Closes March 1st

We are in the process of developing a new strategic plan for the County. In December of 2017, we conducted multiple focus groups with the community and with staff to gather input about the strengths and weaknesses of the current strategic plan as well as opportunities and threats out on the horizon.

On January 3, 2018, we kicked off the new year and the new Strategic Planning effort with a kick off public work session with the Board of County Commissioners, Department Directors, and other management staff. On January 5, 2018 we launched an Employee Survey, followed by a Community Survey on January 22, 2018. A Spanish paper version of the community survey will close on March 1st. As with all of the surveys, feedback will be incorporated as it's received.

On January 24, 2018, the Board of Commissioners conducted a public work session to hear a presentation about the draft framework of the strategic plan.  Also, on January 24th and 25th, two staff open houses and a community open house took place. The results of the surveys, open houses and work sessions will guide the draft framework of the strategic plan. On February 27, 2018, the Board of Commissioners will have a presentation of the Draft 2018-2021 Strategic Plan with the hope of a final adopted plan in early March.

Coming soon: Board Presentation on the Draft Strategic Plan on February 27th @ 10:30 a.m. in Harris Hall. Draft documents to be posted on Thursday, February 22nd.
