Lane County Community Wildfire Protection Plan Update:
Lane County is currently working in collaboration with the Oregon Department of Forestry and other agencies to update the 2005 Lane County Community Wildfire Protection Plan. The update has involved public outreach and wildfire education efforts. A draft was presented to the Board of County Commissioners on July 7, 2020 and based on feedback provided at that meeting, will be proposed for adoption on August 25, 2020.

Wetland & Riparian Inventories/Natural Resources Study for Springfield UGB Expansion Areas:
Lane County is working with our Springfield partners to consider options for protecting the wetlands and riparian corridors in the areas where Springfield’s Urban Growth Boundary (UGB) expanded. This expansion was acknowledged by the State in 2019, and these areas are now in Springfield’s land use planning jurisdiction. An update to the Springfield Natural Resources Study will complete the project. This Study will reflect the Board of County Commissioners’ and Springfield City Council’s preferred approach to managing these water-based resources based on various possible levels of protection. Lobby Closure - Submitting an Appeal

During lobby closure, appeals may be submitted via email, mail, or delivered to our front lobby vestibule. If you are delivering a paper copy, please attach to it the appeal routing sheet made available in the drop off area. To submit an appeal, please email the staff planner and copy Amber Bell and Lindsey Eichner (contact information below) to submit materials and/or to arrange to make payment online.

 

Appeal fees can be paid online. To make an online payment, you will need to contact staff to request an invoice. Fees may be paid here once invoiced. We ask that you please contact staff to request the appeal fee invoice at least a day prior to the appeal deadline. Checks may not be submitted in the lobby vestibule, but may mailed payable to Lane County.

 

All appeal submittal requirements and deadlines still apply.  The appellant is responsible for ensuring the appeal fee is submitted by the appeal deadline.
