Commissioner Faye Stewart presided with Commissioners Jay Bozievich,  Rob Handy, Sid Leiken and Pete Sorenson present.  County Administrator Liane Richardson, County Counsel Assistant County Counsel Andy Clarke and Recording Secretary Melissa Zimmer were also present.

10. PUBLIC WORKS

a. DISCUSSION / BRIEFING/City of Eugene Transportation System Plan Update.

Kurt Yeiter, Rob Inerfeld, from the city of Eugene, gave a presentation on the city of Eugene Transportation System Plan Update. (Copy in file).

11. COMMISSIONERS' ANNOUNCEMENTS

Leiken announced the passing of Andy Jackson, Coos County Commissioner.

Stewart reported that he, Richardson,  Madilyn Zike, Human Resources, and other commissioners have been attending meet and greets in the organization.  He stated that he had outreach meetings the past month with EPED, EWEB, city of Veneta, Lane County Historical Museum,  Mayor Piercy and Sonny Chickering of ODOT to get an idea of what the organizations are facing and to reach out and improve communications.  He said at the next Joint Elected Officials Meeting they will be discussing the fire merger and how it has gone.  He added there will be an update on Envision Eugene and the Springfield 2030 process.  He said they will discuss potential IGA services they might be able to study, like wastewater services and how Lane County provides Assessment and Taxation services.  He thought there could be areas the city of Springfield, Eugene and Lane County might gain efficiencies in services provided and reducing costs.   He indicated that Dennis Murphy will be discussing Mobile Health Services.

12. EXECUTIVE SESSION as per ORS 192.660

Per ORS 192.660 (2)(h) for the purpose of discussing potential litigation.

13. OTHER BUSINESS

None.

There being no further business, Commissioner Stewart recessed the meeting into Executive Session at 3:00 p.m.
