Due to the Federal government shut-down, Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) funding is delayed.

Annually, the LIHEAP program serves over 7000 limited income Lane County Households with utility bill assistance. Generally, the program year starts with mailing applications to households with senior or disabled members.

This year, applications will not be mailed until the federal budget passes. This may affect when wait lists open to the general public.

LIHEAP funds are federal and are part of the Administration for Children and Families programs. Households in need of assistance can refer back to this website for updates or call our office to find local programs that may be able to assist them.

Your household may be eligible for utility assistance if you meet the income guidelines listed here:

*Gross monthly income is the income you were paid before taxes were taken out.

Household Size Monthly Gross Income
1 $3198
2 $4183
3 $5167
4 $6151
5 $7135
6 $8119
7 $8304
