Led by the Community Health Assessment Design Team, Live Healthy Lane has completed the assessments and issued the reports listed below.
The
Live Healthy Lane Vision was used to guide all of the assessments:
We envision Lane County as a welcoming community. A place where systems - social, economic, and environmental, etc. - are developed by everyone to work for everyone. A community where all people have what they need to thrive. This includes: a sense of belonging, a feeling of shared purpose, and hope for our collective future.
The assessments:
Community Context Assessment (CCA) – We collected insights and experiences of community members through surveys, focus groups, and other existing data to identify the impacts of community assets, forces of change, and the built environment on health and equity:
- Community assets and barriers – answers questions about our community assets, barriers to health, and what makes Lane County unique.
- Built environment – answers the question - what are the physical resources and assets in Lane County that contribute to health and how do resources vary by community? Our assessment focused on housing, transportation, and schools.
- Forces of change – answers questions about forces in and outside of Lane County that may impact health and what communities are disproportionally impacted by those forces?
Community Partner Assessment (CPA) – We asked our community partners how well our local public health system delivers the
ten essential public health services and how well our community
addresses health inequities.
Community Status Assessment (CSA) – This assessment uses quantitative data to answer questions about the current health of Lane County and the structures and systems that support health.
